Silver Rider 12" Trike with Protective Gear Review

Silver Rider 12 Trike with Protective Gear
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just picked up two of these trikes. As soon as I saw them in person, I knew it was a quality item, and here's why: First, it's made in the USA, which is harder to find these days. Second, it's SOLID AS A ROCK! The frame is welded tubular steel, like you'd find on a truck's grill guard, or a high-quality mountain bike. The tires are solid rubber, so you don't have to worry about air, ever. The handlebar joint has a hard plastic cover that prevents pinch-points. The rear wheels are so far apart, I don't think it's possible to tip over. In short, this 27-pound trike is not your average plastic throw-away toy, and that's why it's more expensive. This will be in your family or circle of friends for generations, as opposed to a few months with a cheaper, plastic alternative. For my kids, I want to buy solid, long-lasting items, made in the US whenever I can, and this purchase was a great start. Note: I did not purchase the package deal with protective gear, so I can't review those items.

Currie Technologies iZIP Tricruiser Electric Tricycle (24-Inch Wheels) Review

Currie Technologies iZIP Tricruiser Electric Tricycle (24-Inch Wheels)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought this for a relative who is 70 years old and looking for way get around local streets without waiting hours for bus. Driving is not ideal as he hasn't driven for a while and parking is issue.
Assembling for me took 4 hours the first time, but will probably take me less than 1 hour doing it again. The wheels seem pre-adjusted where I can just snap on the frame without further alignment. This was my fear since my kids bikes require alignments that was painful. The rear mud guards needed some bending to make sure not hitting the wheels, but that's easy enough by hand. Screws weren't perfectly align with holes for installing the basket, but it wasn't too bad.
It also comes with a metallic red paint touch up, which becomes very important as scratches are inevitable with a one-person installation of this heavy/durable bike. The touch up paint totally made all scratches disappear.
I test rode this tricycle and had absolutely no problem. I just sit back and let it take me! It has good enough speed (probably 12 - 15mph based on 180lbs) on flat surface, and will get slower as you climb hills.
For some people, like my father in law who rode street bicycle good part of his life in Asia, this was a problem at beginning. This is because 1) it's a tricycle, and more importantly, 2) it's powered. Once he thinks like he's driving a car instead, it was all heaven for him! He gets nothing but praises and envies anytime he "drives" it down the street to to go local grocery stores and restaurants. He thinks he has the "Rolls Royce" with plenty of worshipers!
A note on the battery. Take it out and charge the minute you receive your package. It'll take a while to charge. Don't wait until you are ready to assemble, then find out you must wait many more hours after assembly in order to drive it!

Aero Trike - Red Review

Aero Trike - Red
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
With respect to the previous review, we had a very positive experience with our Aero Trike. We own (literally) several different tricycles, as our children love to play outside, particularly with their cousins and friends. Besides Radio Flyer's tricycle, we strongly recommend the Aero Trike. It was a breeze to assemble. The wheels grip the ground and have good traction; our children are able to control/steer without problems. It is very easy for both our 1-year old and 3-year old to peddle. And it isn't prone to tipping over easily like some other tricycles.
Like our other tricycles, we put the Aero Trike away when not in use. We can't vouch whether or not the Aero Trike can withstand the elements over time, or if it rusts/ages quickly while sitting outside.
While we rate it 5 stars, we wish this tricycle cost less. ($40 is a bit steep.) And it would be nice if the unit had brakes.

Strike Anywhere Matches Review

Strike Anywhere Matches
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
ASIN B000Q6B12E and ASIN B000WR82QK - Diamond makes several similar boxes of matches, including the old standard Strike on Box Matches. I prefer these, the Strike Anywhere Matches, simply for convenience and portability.
125+ years of making matches and nothing's really changed - because nothing needs to. The Aspen splint that each match is made from is sturdy, the match head is non-toxic (and, yes, you ought to keep them away from kids, but at least you know it's non-toxic!) and most importantly - duds are almost unheard of. The built-in striker on the sides of the package is such a simple thing, but a huge convenience. Of course, Strike Anywhere matches don't require the box, making them excellent for camping, hiking and other outdoor needs - leave the rather delicate cardboard box at home and carry just a few in a water-tight container.
Since I "met" Diamond matches camping with parents who did Earth Day things before Earth Day existed, I've always preferred to use these, when practical, over a lighter because they're wood - they'll biodegrade. Unfortunately, because they're incredibly light and very cheap, buying them on Amazon is almost absurd: shipping costs add so much to the cost that it's ridiculous.

My First Original 9" Big Wheel for Boys Trike Review

My First Original 9 Big Wheel for Boys Trike
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old boy. I was thrilled when I found out that they made big wheels for toddlers because I wanted something low to the ground for my boys to ride since we have a little hill near our house. When I first got these, one of the wheels were broken so I had to wait for another to come. Not a big deal but it wasn't easy to find a company that would send you one. Then after my husband but it together, I realized that the wheels made a loud clicking noise. Maybe it's for safety , I don't know, but it's annoying and I have 2 of them. So to me they are good but not great!

Fancy Furry Fur Seat Cover - Westerner/Miami Sun Trike/EZ-Recumbent Review

Fancy Furry Fur Seat Cover - Westerner/Miami Sun Trike/EZ-Recumbent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this for my Miami Sun trike saddle seat. It fits well and stays on fine, with the draw string tie off that cinches below the seat. The padding just makes it to the edges of the seat, but it would have been more comfortable if the padding had extended beyond or over the seat edges. I say this because my derriere encompasses the full surface of the seat, and a bit beyond. I would have to assume that most derrieres are not as big as mine, and the padding would probably be fine as it is. Regardless, the bottom line is there is no great deal of extra comfort when using the seat cover, but any little bit helps!
Thank You, Tony

Hollywood Racks Recumbent 2-Bike Hitch Rack Review

Hollywood Racks Recumbent 2-Bike Hitch Rack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Nicely designed and well engineered. Very fast delivery.
The included threaded hitch pin must be fully tightened to solidly secure rack to hitch.
I use the two included long straps to secure the front and rear of the bike to the integral roof rack of my Wagon.
I purchased a #915 Fork Mount from Hollywood Racks to reduce the overall length of the bike by the radius of the front wheel (10" in my bike's case). HR might tell you that its FWM-ADP Adapter is required for that Mount. It's not. I just flipped a Wheel Holder (part of the rack assembly) and attached the Mount to it.

Triton Pro Ultimate Three Wheeled Cruiser Review

Triton Pro Ultimate Three Wheeled Cruiser
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Only complaint I have with the Triton Pro is that even on dry pavement, with an adult, the front drive wheel will lose traction on a 5%+ incline. The weight distribution needs to be slightly increased over the front wheel. Perhaps by mounting the rear axle a couple of inches further back.
Otherwise, a nice little machine easily assembled.

I had a hard time finding a trike that my son, then 2 yrs old, could ride. This was the only bike where he could touch the ground while sitting on the seat - and he test drove every trike at Toys'R'US. The bike has taken a lot of abuse the past 1-1/2 years, but it is holding up great. My son is now 3-1/2 and just starting to grow out of this trike. I would recommend this for any first-time rider!

The bell is cute, sound is classic & clear, mounting is sturdy & secure -- But, the Hello Kitty design is just a paper sticker with some plastic covering that's barely secured. Mickey Mouse Club Micro Bicycle Helmet and Protective Pad Value Pack (Toddler) Review

Mickey Mouse Club Micro Bicycle Helmet and Protective Pad Value Pack (Toddler)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this for Christmas for my 2-1/2 year old grandson, and while it is way too small to be useful, he does love everything Mickey and wears this constantly, even when not riding his bike.
PROS: Well constructed. Graphics are very colorful and eye catching.
CONS: Small! This sits on top of my grandson's head, alien-style and looks strange. It does not encase his head, it literally sits on top. I am not sure how much protection it would offer.
I think this would be more suited to an even younger child, maybe an 18-month-old on a tricycle?
