(More customer reviews)I bought this ride-on for my 2 year old. It took 20 minutes to put together. I thought the instructions were very clear. It had several options for infants through preschoolers. I chose the push-trike since my toddler can't steer. The sound effects were unexpectedly cute IMO but the trike is very loud on the pavement. The scratchy plastic wheels totally drown out the motor & horn sound-effects. The push bar is an ok height for me at 5'10". The handle is just *really* floppy to use when trying to steer though! To turn you need to push down on the plastic "roof" arch, but it's way too flexible to control without extreme effort. I've only pushed my toddler around the block twice in the past 2 months. I much prefer our Kett push-trike. Fortunately our 6 year old likes to race around the driveway in the Bounce 'N Go so it wasn't a complete waste of money. It would probably be fun for an infant to use too, since it can be used as a bouncer w/o pedals.

(More customer reviews)first: always know that a cable lock is not meant to be your primary lock if you lock up in an area where bikes are ever stolen. ever.
the doberman was intended to be a back-up lock, locking my front wheel to my frame with an OnGuard u-lock locking the rear wheel and frame to the fence or post or whatever. however, today my OnGuard u-lock failed me (bent 3 keys in the lock trying to lock it when i got home from work before giving up on the lock altogether-- i have two working keys left, but don't trust them-- there is nothing saying they won't bend and fail also, and i'm glad i discovered the problem when i was at home where i could get to my extra keys. glad i still had them. now i know why they're included). i brought my bike inside instead of locking it to the fence as i normally do.
ten minutes after getting home, i realized i needed to take a quick trip to the office supply store, so i went back out, this time w/ this OnGuard cable (no keys necessary! yay!) and an old kryptonite u-lock i borrowed from a friend. there was no fence-- just a post to which i could lock either the front end of the bike or the rear end. it's not a fancy bike, not the most attractive or theft-inviting thing on the street, so i locked the front end with the kryptonite, figuring that if i was quick, the cable would be enough of a deterrent to keep anyone from messing with the rear wheel while i picked up my supplies. i was in the office supply store for no more than 20 minutes, but when i came out, guess whose combination cable lock was smashed and whose rear wheel was missing? guess who was stranded at the office supply store for nearly 2 hours while she waited for a friend with a car to come pick her and her frame up? guess who was incredibly irritated for the rest of the night and probably will continue to be irritated until she can replace the missing wheel?
a passing tow truck driver stopped and told me how people break these locks-- it's depressingly simple (basically a pull and a kick, and the teeth in the combination shatter like candy).
don't get this lock unless you live in a low-theft, low-vandalism area. and even then, i'd think twice.

I chose the free shipping and originally Amazon estimated it to be delivered two weeks after I put in the order. It actually came one week later and I was able to track it through UPS after Amazon sent me the tracking number. I feel that I got a great deal since there was no tax and no shipping charges -- I also saw the price go up $15 in less than a week.
It came almost fully assembled -- thank goodness! My brother said he would help but I found that it was best to go to a local bike shop to put on the wheel and handlebars. At the same time, they made sure it was adjusted properly and in safe working order. Although I got it done for free (it was through a friend), I would have paid $20-25 to have make sure that it is done properly.
I live in New York City -- this past weekend was beautiful weather here and I asked my kids if they wanted to go bike riding in Central Park. My son, which I found out later, was scared to get on his new bike because he thought it was too big for him. I took it instead (I'm 5'5") and it was a pleasure to ride. I may add that I haven't been on a bike in many years. I wasn't sure if it was too big or would I understand how to use the gears, but everything went fine and it was perfect, especially with the adjustable seat. It rode very smooth and I really enjoyed it. I probably will order the same bike for myself as I don't have one currently.
I think since he sees that I was able to ride it, he is less scared of trying it. I would highly recommend this bike and it was a very good experience ordering something through Amazon -- my first time.

Pedros Hex Pedal Wrench Review

The grip is soft yet firm and both ends of the wrench are very strong. I've over torqued my pedals buy accident and stripped the pedal but end of the wrench doesn't even have a scratch on it. I highly recommend pedro's tools.

The particular BB attachment (for instance, Pedro's BB Socket - ISIS compatible) snaps into this device, and then there is another device (Pedro's Bicycle Bottom Bracket Holder) which locks these together by holding onto the axle via bolt attachment, so that it does not move and jump out of the bottom bracket assembly when loosening or tightening (thus, avoids stripping/damaging the BB splines). It saves a lot of hassle and works rather well, though the instructions are vague if not non-existent on how to do this correctly.

Pedro's Bicycle Rim Tape (16mm, 12-Pack) Review

I'm hooked on ANY robust/long lasting bicycle components &
PEDRO'S makes the BEST rim tape-BAR NONE!!
I usually change the rim tape any time I dismount
a tire or even to replace a tube.
The "plastic" type rim tapes seem to "slip" when mounting the tire-
So they are for sure slippin' to some degree when the tire is in use.
Why Pedro's is so GOOD:
Super thick-to cushion the inner tube from abrasion,
Nylon composition doesn't absorb water like the other cotton tapes,
Adhesive holds securely, as to avoid the "slip" factor when mounting
the tire initially,
Although the Pedro's tapes are a bit PRICER than the
others, I am able to reuse the tape 2-3 times!!
SO-Pedro's rim tape OUTLASTS the other tapes!!!
This super-duty rim tape is what ALL other rim tapes have to FEAR!!

Schwinn Lakeshore Men's Cruiser Bike (26-Inch Wheels) Review

(More customer reviews)I really like this bike. My friends have compared it to riding an arm chair it's so comfortable. Here is everything that is wrong or has gone wrong with it:
-two of the bolts to attach the seat were missing. $5 to replace
-a tube went flat immediately. $5 to replace
-the rear derailleur up and broke. $35 to replace
Despite this, it was still worth the money and when the bike is working, I like it a lot. A lot of strangers admire it.

(More customer reviews)If you are looking for a fancy tricycle for your child then this would be a good buy. It's well made and it has a first rate finish. It assembles easily and tools are provided. However, this is by no means an adult trike. There is only one gear and pedaling furiously (i.e., spinning) will only achieve around 3~4 miles per hour, a brisk walking pace, on a level street. In my opinion this seriously beggers the advertized definition of "fun." This trike seriously needs some sort of planetary gearing to make it an acceptable entry level trike. It is pretty though.

Pedro's Super Prestige Floor Pump Review

Once you get past the fact that the pump arrives from Amazon in a bike box (yes a bike box) you will see that the latest version does not have wooden handles, the guage is located at the top of the barrel, and the pump essentially no longer has a classical design. And second, the connector is very difficlut to use. Either Pedro's overthought the design or I just did not understand how to use it, but without instructions, I had difficulty getting it to work properly and simply went back to my older more simpler floor pump. Again, this could be a issue with me and not the product.

(More customer reviews)This is a very smooth-riding bike with a look and feel of quality. Its frame is much lighter than a steel bike, making a noticeable improvement in performance. I often load my bike heavily using a rear rack and baskets, so I was specifically looking for a bike with front suspension only. Even with only the front suspension fork, it smooths out bumps nicely. Shifting is really smooth and reliable. It has quick-release front wheel and seat. My only criticism is the front wheel is positioned so that when turning sharply it hits one's feet! At first I repeatedly almost fell because of turning too sharply while pedaling and my feet hitting the tire. I am more used to it now and have learned to stop pedaling and watch my feet position while making sharp turns. But to me it is a silly design flaw. This is the only reason I gave this bike 4 stars instead of 5. Let me add, the process of ordering it through Amazon went perfectly. It came in a huge box. It needed minor assembly which was very easy.

OnGuard Beast 5016 Bicycle Chain Lock Review

i live in ny. had 2 bikes stolen in the city. i finally got an Onguard chain and lock. the ny bike thieves tried and tried to pick that lock and finally after 3 or 4 years they actually did something to keep it from opening again (i'm guessing they broke a tumbler). BUT THEY DIDN'T GET THE LOCK OPEN!!! AND DIDN'T GET THE BIKE. AND.....UNBELIEVABLY, ONGUARD REPLACED THE LOCK ... AND THE CHAIN ...AND...PAID FOR A LOCKSMITH!!!! now i'm happy again. i like my bike and i need it in the city. new york is tough, and this company gets my vote 5 stars!!!! and more!!

OnGuard Bulldog ATB 5011 Bicycle Bicycle U-Lock Review

(More customer reviews)This is by far the cheapest good lock you can get. The comparably priced Kryptonite is 1mm thinner and is 4"x8" to this lock's 5"x9".
If you're like me and commute or just ride to all sorts of places, then you've had the problem where the lock, bike, and post/rack fit really tight. You've probably scratched up your frame before or had to lock your bike further than you'd like to just to get it locked to something.
This is where this lock is superior to Kryptonite locks and many other manufacturers. The width of the "U" is 5" rather than 4". That extra inch makes all the difference. It was originally intended for people to lock front-wheel to frame/back-wheel on mountain bikes which are typically thicker in every way than road bikes.
Of course you can always buy the longer locks, but they're usually more expensive and much larger than needed. That extra 3" means it doesn't fit on tucked in my belt (without striking my bike wheel) and it takes up that much more room in my bag. And it still doesn't solve the problem of a wider frame and wider wheels in a tight spot.
There seem to be a lot of comments on the "coating" of the "U" itself. As a former mechanic, let me break it to you: the coating doesn't prevent theft.
The coating, much like the paint job on your bike is more of a deterrent for rust than anything else. And while a rusty lock would be bad, the nicks and scratches you'll accumulate on the plastic coating of any lock won't significantly damage your lock. All u-locks have plastic coating, and the superiority of one plastic over the other is pretty trivial.
Your concern should be:
* Size - will this accommodate my bike in a variety of situations?
* Thickness - thicker than a bolt cutter can cut through (13mm)?
* Key shape - is it round like a Bic pen? Can this be picked?
These are bike locks. They're thick bars of hardened steel that hold your bike to something secure. Once you have one, you're good to go. Kryptonite, Onguard, Master, Bell's, et al will require an electric saw or a Bic Pen. So you might as well get something decent, but you don't need extravagance.

Recumbents are good but the costs and space requirements have discouraged us up to now. The Stamina is economical, well made, silent, comfortable, and takes up very little room. It even folds if you want to gain even more space. I was a bit concerned about the bike because when it arrived the packaging was severely gouged (by a forklift?)but the inner packing is well designed and there was no damage. Assembly was easy and took approx. 30 minutes. There is a tool included that will fit all the screws and nuts used.
I have no way to tell how accurate the mileage, caloric, etc. readouts are but I don't find that a problem because I exercise by time and I can pace myself by the various levels indicated. It is quiet so it is easy to exercise while watching TV. We are very satisfied with this product.

My friends who ride their bicycles really admired it and its price when I told them about it.
