(More customer reviews)I ride about 50 miles per week, and Ice Wax is my favorite lube - I've been using it for about 3 years. I *really* dislike having to clean grunge off my chain, and with Ice Wax I can go most of a season without any buildup. Just add more every day (or few days, if you do mostly short rides). But it does have limitations:
1. It doesn't like to get wet. I do ride in damp conditions frequently (upstate NY, year-round), but I don't slosh through puddles, and I don't ride in rainstorms (not on purpose, anyway). If the chain gets wet, you have to reapply the lube.
2. You have to use a lot more than you may be used to, if you're switching from oil-based lube. With oil-based lubes, it's very important to not use too much, to avoid grunge. With Ice Wax, slosh it on, the more the better.
