(More customer reviews)I have seen descriptions of the "2.0" version of this tool and they state that there is a place in the handle to store extra chain pins. This one does NOT have that, so apparently that's why they decided to do a second version.
The tool works wonderfully and I really don't have any complaints about it's design or operation. I like the nice big, long handles and can only imagine how much harder it would be with some budget-priced chain tool. If you believe in using the right tool for the job, you should consider this one.
I was a bit confused by the extra chain pins they include. They seem to be the Shimano type, where you insert them, then break off the extra piece. Trouble is, there are a number of different Shimano chains like this and they all have unique chain pins, so not knowing what I had, I was forced to go to the local bike shop anyway and get the specific Shimano ones I needed. It turns out the ones in the chain tool box were different. So how about labeling these things guys?
